Unsulbar News, Majene. Media sosial adalah media untuk bersosialisasi dan berinteraksi dengan menyebarkan konten-konten positif. Sayangnya, beberapa pihak memanfaatkannya untuk menyebarkan informasi berupa konten-konten negatif bahkan hoaks atau berita palsu yang dapat membahayakan pengguna khususnya generasi muda.
Menyadari akan bahaya dan dampak yang timbul dari hal tersebut, Relawan TIK Sulawesi Barat (Sulbar) bekerja sama dengan media online Unsulbar News menggelar Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dengan tema “Literasi Digital untuk Berantas Hoax” di Aula Tasha Center, Majene, Ahad (18/11/2018).
Kegiatan yang dipandu oleh pemimpin redaksi Unsulbarnews Mardiwansyah, menghadirkan dua pemateri yaitu pembina Unsulbar News Muh. Abduh dan ketua umum Relawan TIK Sulbar Haekal Fikri.
Dalam materinya, Muh. Abduh berpesan sebagai generasi digital kita jangan mudah percaya dengan informasi yang tersebar, cek kebenarannya terlebih dahulu serta tingkatkan kemampuan literasi digital, karena dengan cara ini diharapkan kita tidak akan mudah dipengaruhi berita-berita hoaks. Sementara itu, Haekal Fikri mengimbau kepada para peserta agar bijak dalam menggunakan internet serta harus cerdas, kreatif dan produktif.
