Unsulbar News, Majene. Bencana alam adalah suatu peristiwa alam yang mengakibatkan dampak besar bagi populasi manusia. Tak seorang pun yang dapat memprediksi datangnya bencana alam dan hanya Tuhan yang mengetahui segalanya.
Masih teringat jelas bencana alam gempa bumi dan tsunami yang melanda provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Kali ini gempa juga terjadi di Sulawesi Barat, tepatnya Kabupaten Mamasa sepekan terakhir. Menurut data Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG), rentan gempa yang terjadi paling kecil Magnitudo 2,3 dan paling besar 5,5 seperti yang terjadi pada Kamis (15/11/2018) lalu.
Dalam hal ini, sebagai wujud solidaritas perjuangan mahasiswa peduli korban bencana Mamasa. Himpunan Mahasiswa Kabupaten Mamasa (HMKM) yang ada di Majene melakukan aksi penggalangan dana di daerah Tinambung, Kab. Polewali Mandar (Polman), Ahad (18/11/2018).
Muliawan selaku pengurus HMKM mangatakan kegiatan ini guna mewujudkan tanggung jawab sebagai makhluk sosial, dengan cara memberikan uluran tangan kepada saudara kita yang sedang membutuhkan bantuan. ” Salah satu alasan kami sampai turun ke jalan adalah lahirnya rasa kemanusiaan dalam diri terhadap eksistensi sebagai makhluk sosial yang tentunya saling membutuhkan dan memiliki tanggung jawab moril kepada sesama manusia,” tegasnya.
Ia juga berharap, semoga seluruh masyarakat Mamasa senantiasa tetap dalam lindungan Tuhan yang maha esa dan musibah ini segera berakhir. Dan tak kalah pentingnya adalah semoga dengan musibah ini menjadikan kita lebih dekat lagi kepada sang pencipta sebab setiap bencana yang dititipkan Tuhan kepada hamba-Nya tentu ada hikmah yang terkandung di dalamnya.
Selain penggalangan dana dengan turun langsung ke jalan, mereka (HMKM) juga akan membuka posko penyaluran bantuan untuk korban gempa Mamasa.
